Betrayed girl chops off lover’s nose!
By our correspondent

OKARA: A love-stricken girl hacked off the nose of her lover for betraying her here on Sunday night. Mehboob Hussain Phularwan, resident of 56/5L village, was in love with Sakina Bibi of 8/4L village. However, the affair came into the knowledge of Mehboob's father Noor Hussain, who admonished his son and asked him to end relations with the girl. Mehboob gave in to family pressure and betrayed the girl.

On Sunday, Sakina, along with her four accomplices, including Noor Muhammad Bhatti, came to Mehboob's house and took Mehboob to some unknown place. Mehboob's family was alarmed when he did not return home till late in the night.

They started a search for him and found him lying unconscious at Darbar Bhoray Shah in Qadirabad. He had wounds on his body and was ferried to a local hospital, where he told the police that Sakina and her accomplices had taken him to 8/4L village and intoxicated him. "They severely thrashed me, chopped my nose and later threw me at the Darbar," he said. The Cantt Police have registered a case.
